PREPPING FOR OUR GETAWAY!

The countdown is on. In 3 days from now Nathan and I will be spending 7 days in the Caribbean  at Sandals Antigua Resort. In addition to staying on top of laundry and making lists of what I need to do to pack just 2 carry-on approve sized pieces of luggage. While shopping for a pair of black leather flats, I spotted my favourite Sperry black leather quilted TopSiders on SALE!!! I'm happy I found them :)

I found this quirky "M" Sweater at Old Navy today and bought one for my best friend Meghan, and one for Moi. My 30th Birthday is in 7 days and I'm really excited to celebrate it in Antigua, but my bestie Meghan (who's 30th is 10 days after mine) won't be with me. This is my little piece of my "M" to take with me.

SATURDAY NIGHT AND THE SOHO HOUSE

Last night Nathan and I checked out Toronto's SOHO House that opened last year (September 2012). Canadian musician k-os was there to DJ one of the bars and celebrate his recent album, Black and Blonde. Wearing some of my favourite accessories but the glasses are new, a Birthday present from N8! I love my new eyeglass frames!!! We found them at C! Optical inside Sherway Gardens mall shopping yesterday. Monday I will be visiting my friends at Hakim by my office to get my prescription lenses put in. My fabulous new eyewear is designed by, Oliver Peoples and were reasonablly priced but the cost to place my perscription lenses with C! optical was too pricey ($267 vs. $60). I Hope Hakim Optical can change my lenses before we leave for vacation this Friday.. Fingers crossed, but if it doesn't happen, I still have my prescription RayBan sunglasses. ~thanks to shopping at The Bay and Hakim Optical

What I wore:
Lanston Maxi Dress
Aldo Black Booties
Oliver Peoples Eyewear
CND Shellac Nails in "Fedora"
Kate Spade Two-Toned Watch
Anna Dello Russo x H&M Zebra Bracelet
Coach mini-mini Legacy Crossbody with removable strap for Clutch gratification

MY DOONEY AND BOURKE BUCKET BAG!

I have been in the love with the bucket handbag since Alexander Wang launched his "Diego" bucket bag. Recently I saw set of genuine leather Dooney and Bourke's bucket bags and I haven't been coveting one since. Today I decided to check out Dooney and Bourke bucket handbags online and research what type of prices/deals I could find. After a quick lead back into the beautiful world of, Etsy.com I found some great vintage Dooney and Bourke bucket bags at great prices.. When I spotted this vintage Dooney and Bourke bucket bag in EMERALD GREEN all-weather pebble leather and tan trim, my stomach dropped. It was fashion love at first sight. I found this beauty through an Etsy shop and seller, FreezingMoonVintage. I am so excited, it's my Birthday present!

ARCHIVING MY COACH COLLECTION

Since Christmas 2009 I have started collecting Coach leather goods like I have never imagined. It was in 2007 a few years after moving to Toronto I found an original Coach leather cross-body purse from the 70's!!!!! A favourite era of mine.. I found it at a vintage store around the corner from our apartment in the Little Italy neighbourhood, for only $60! I knew the purse was a gem when I saw it and once I noticed it was an original Coach from the brand embossing inside, I bought it on the spot.

Recently Coach launched a Legacy Collection line aimed to bring back original styles from Coach's historical accessory library. As of August 2012 I have bought/collected 4 different styles. Previously to this Legacy collection being released I had purchased and received 3 Coach accessories, 1 being the 70's original Coach tan leather cross-body. Coach releases new styles each season and what I get excited about is the quality leather, craftsmanship and reasonable prices for their accessories.

Coach is gearing up to create/launch a Ready-To-Wear (RTW) line in the near future. Check out this article from Fashionista.com to see what the President and Executive Creative Director Reed Krakoff has to say about it, CLICK HERE.
I found and bought this original Coach Handbag at a Vintage store in Toronto.

I fell in love with and Nathan bought me for Christmas this Coach Treated Canvas and Modern "C" Patterned Large Wristlet.

Nathan surprised me before Christmas with this very, very chic Coach silver and grey, modern "C" patterned wallet!

I purchased this black patent leather iPhone case which comes in handy on its own and inside larger handbags to any damage and have cash or business cards handy.

I feel in love with this Coach Mini-Mini Legacy Cross-body in blue, red and beige during the Summer. When I confirmed my iPhone could fit inside without stretching the leather, I was sold :)

Wedding Present from Nathan was this Coach Legacy Penny Handbag in Cobalt Blue.
This colour is VERY similar to my bridesmaid dress sapphire colour :)

I found and bought this sassy and "so me", Coach ocelot large Wristlet. I can wear this Wristlet with everything, similar to my 2009 Coach treated canvas and modern "C" patterned Wristet.

Nathan and I exchanged Coach leather accessories for our main Christmas presents.
I found and Nathan gifted the stunning Coach Legacy Archival Rambler Handbag in Black Cherry!!!

PARTS OF MY SATURDAY ROUTINES

Above: Art inside Shanghai Cowgirl
Below: Graffiti tags spotted while we were out doing errands

Above: N8 found the hottest Hugo Boss vintage inspired, wool blend blazer and naturally I encouraged him to purchase it for a sophisticated 'everyday' use blazer. I love the colour and pattern blend too.
Below: One of my bi-weekly tasks is taking special pieces of our clothing to the dry cleaners. I'm so happy I dropped off my new Malene Birger jackets they will be ready Wednesday to wear!

Below: I went to nail salon, "manipedi" in Toronto and the best shellac manicure of my life! I chose CND Shellac colour, "Fedora" a dark-dark-dark oxblood. I'm obsessed with colours of black cherry and oxblood this year. As well as emerald green is coming back in a big way. These are my personal style remarks, I'm not trying tell anyone what to wear. Unless you ask..

I'm wearing my; "I LOVE Paris" T-shirt from Paris, Joe Fresh 100% Cashmere Cardigan, and Jason Wu x Target Scarf. Accessories not in pictures; Vanities Bracelet purchased at Collette in Paris (see below), and my new Franco Sarto Black Leather Boots.

Below: My new hair salon in Toronto, the Alcorn. I have been following my Hair Stylist, Tyler Marr for approx. 4/5 years now and last Summer he started working out of the Alcorn. It's a beautiful salon, with wonderful stylists and products. My favourite product to purchase at the Alcorn is Moroccan Oil's Curly Hair Styling Creme. My go-to curly hair styling product is AG's Curl Activator which I can only find at the Beauty Supply Outlet here.
